Frequently Asked Questions

Translation

A certified translation must be signed and sealed by a licensed certified translator and certified by the Certified Translators’ Association for the City of Buenos Aires (CTPCBA). This type of translation is typically required when submitting documents in a foreign language to a public or private entity. Examples include personal documentation, academic transcripts, contracts, financial statements and court judgments. A standard translation, on the other hand, doesn’t require certification, is usually for private purposes and involves business, commercial and literary documents, such as institutional content, manuals and websites.

Sometimes, when submitting a document abroad it is required that an Apostille be issued, since the function of the Apostille is to certify the authenticity of the signatures on public documents issued in a country. So, to determine if you need to request an Apostille for your document, you should consult with the entity that will receive the document and its translation. It is important to note that the Apostille must be obtained before the certified translation of the document is made.

Although several factors are taken into account, we mainly need to see the document and have the following information to provide you with a quote:

  • Type of translation required, i.e., a standard or certified translation.
  • Language combination of the project, i.e., the language in which the document is written and the language into which it will be translated.
  • Number of words in the document.
  • Deadline, i.e. when the translation is needed and whether it is an urgent project.

We translate primarily into English and Spanish. However, if you require translation, interpreting or proofreading services in other languages, we will work with colleagues who are proficient in the language combination you need.

Interpreting

At Iqualingua, we advise clients so that they can choose the most appropriate interpreting service for their event. Learn more about the different types of interpreting services by clicking here.

Although several factors are taken into account, we mainly need the following information to provide you with a quote:

  • Event details (date, duration, etc.) and whether it will be in person or online.
  • Language combination of the event, i.e., the language in which the speakers will make their presentations and the language into which they need to be interpreted.
  • Number of speakers and topic of the event.

English Classes

  • The company will keep the team motivated with language learning opportunities and it will help build employee loyalty. Also, language training is an excellent alternative for attracting new talent.
  • Learning a second language improves employees’ communication skills and allows them to strengthen business relationships in English with international colleagues, suppliers and customers.
  • Our class dynamics encourage teamwork and a sense of belonging.

Our classes are online and students work with the teacher throughout each lesson. Classes are held during office hours or outside office hours, depending on the preferences of each company. They are divided into thematic modules where students work on writing, reading, listening and speaking in English, using the work environment as a major tool. We work with multimedia classes that include videos, pictures, articles and audio recordings that show the use of the English language in real-life situations.

Our services include group classes in small groups of 3 to 5 students for company employees and one-on-one training for individuals in  executive-level positions. We also offer individual intensive courses for urgent needs, for a short period of time, and we work around each student’s schedule.

Companies need to have employees who are fluent in English in order to connect with other parts of the world and expand their growth opportunities. Our online English classes optimize the use of time and reduce training costs. In addition, we promote language learning using skills specific to the work environment, which has a positive impact on both the employee’s professional development and the company’s growth.
